Q: Current law makes it a crime to board a bus with a dangerous or deadly weapon or carry such a weapon in a terminal.  SB 529 provides that a person carrying a concealed firearm who possesses a valid concealed carry permit must not be prohibited or impeded from accessing or using any publicly funded transportation system. The person may not be harassed or detained for carrying a concealed firearm on the property of such systems. This act does not apply to school buses or Amtrak.
