Greitens Making Headway on Trump Endorsement?
Politico published an article about Eric Greitens working for the Trump endorsement. See it here. It was getting passed around, and freaking out folks…
· Last week, Trump privately met with the candidate for an hour at his Mar-a-Lago estate in South Florida, where Greitens came armed with a copy of that Breitbart op-ed and polling data showing him leading the primary field. Trump remarked that Greitens was performing well and told the former governor he had an open mind about whom he may support, according to a person familiar with the discussion. Greitens was later invited to attend an event held by the pro-Trump super PAC the next day on the Mar-a-Lago grounds...
· Trump’s interest in Greitens has intensified in recent days. During a meeting with Trump last week, Club for Growth President David McIntosh talked up Greitens and urged the former president to support him. While Club for Growth hasn’t endorsed Greitens, the organization’s top donor, billionaire shipping and industrial supply company executive Richard Uihlein, is bankrolling a pro-Greitens super PAC. Those close to Trump say his attraction to Greitens largely centers on the former governor’s scorched-earth attacks on McConnell.

Sample of Comments
· The obvious choice is Bernskoetter. He is well liked by his colleagues, effective, and doesn’t take crap from obstructionists.
· I can rationalize paths to victory for Bernskoetter, Luetkemeyer, and even White. I need to see who the candidates are first.
· Bernskoetter has the ideal disposition for herding cats.
· With the way this session has gone and no maps yet, who fing knows.
Who Won the Week?
Jerry Nolte – The audit of the Clay County Commission shows things really were as bad as he said they were.
Scott Fitzpatrick – Jumps out into of the anti-Russia parade and grabs a batch of free press doing it.
Eric Schmitt – As panic sets in over a possible Greitens victory, Schmitt’s solid grip on second place makes him the obvious choice for the ABG crowd to coalesce behind.
Vicky Hartzler – The value of getting “cancelled” by Twitter far exceeds the value of her 1,000-ish Twitter followers.
Steven Roberts – Cori Bush just can’t the “defund police” rallying cry.
Louis Riggs – Grabs the gavel of the Special Committee on Broadband and Infrastructure. The issue is a passion of his – and it won’t just be talk. Hundreds of millions of dollars are budgeted to address the problem.
