Dogan Pounces on Weaver Indictment
Rep. Shamed Dogan is raising money off the news that Sam Page appointee Tony Weaver was indicted…
Abuse of federal funds is stealing from hard-working taxpayers and you deserve better.
One thing is certain, it is time to elect a new leader that will root out fraud and corruption in county government. I am up to the task but I need your help.
I am looking for friends who are sick of the controversy, tired of politicians lining their pockets, and are ready for a County Executive who will lead with integrity and transparency to join me in this battle by donating $50 today.
Meanwhile
According to Vic Fingerhut Campaigns, Jane Dueker’s primary challenge to Page isn’t gaining traction. See it here.

US Senate: Emerson Poll
The latest poll in the US Senate race continues to show the same situation: Greitens leads with 26%, followed by Schmitt (20%) and Hartzler (16%). It’s not clear if Dave Schatz wasn’t included in the poll or fell below the margin of error. See it here.
And Kunce Raises Money Off Greitens Lead
TODAY: Another new poll confirmed Greitens is the clear frontrunner for the Republican nomination, sparking even more concern among in-state and national GOP insiders that he could ruin their chances to hold onto this seat… Will you rush a donation of $5 to our grassroots campaign today Corporate mega-donors are already spending millions to prop up Greitens’ campaign, so we’ll need a flood of support to keep up our momentum and amplify Lucas’ message across Missouri.
More US Senate Bits
· MOIndy reports that “as part of the [Greitens] child custody battle in Boone County court, attorney Helen Wade filed a records request with the governor’s office asking for documents regarding Eric Greitens losing access to firearms, or any that describe behavior by the former governor characterized as criminal, abusive or threatening. According to the response she received from the governor’s office, her request generated nearly 13,000 records, which she is scheduled to receive Aug. 3 — the day after voters decide whether Eric Greitens should be the GOP nominee for U.S. Senate.”
· Gateway Pundit says that (gasp!) Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler condemned the January 6 riot. “I also wholeheartedly condemn the violent actions undertaken on January 6, 2021, by these so-called protesters. The assault on the United States Capitol building was appalling and something one would expect from a third world coup — not from our own citizens. It was thuggery, plain and simple, and these violators must be punished.”
McCreery Leads Senate 24
Show Me Victories has a polling memo out that puts Rep. Tracy McCreery firmly in the lead to succeed Sen. Jill Schupp in Senate 24. According to their poll she leads Republican George Hruza 49% to 35% (MoE +/- 3.5%).
Colona to Oversee Earning Tax Trial
Judge (and former Rep.) Mike Colona will oversee a trial of a St. Louis County resident attempting to clawback some earning tax he paid to the City of St. Louis while working from home.
From the press release: On April 4, 2022, St. Louis County resident Marc Kolaks, an employee of AT&T, filed a small claims petition seeking a refund of earnings taxes for tax year 2020 based on the number of days he worked outside the City of St. Louis. After a trial on the merits, the Honorable Judge Thomas A. McCarthy ruled in his favor and against the Collector of Revenue by issuing a judgment against the Collector of Revenue for $1,564.74 for damages plus court costs.
The City and the Collector of Revenue filed an application for a trial de novo, which will be held before the Honorable Judge Michael J. Colona on Friday, June 10, at 9:00 am (Case No. 2222-SC00095-1). A trial de novo is procedure in small claims court which allows the case to be heard again by another judge.
Kolaks worked only 16 days from an office located in downtown St. Louis, and has sought a refund based on the number of days he worked outside the City. The Collector of Revenue and the City have said they are no longer allowing refunds for work performed remotely outside the City of St. Louis…
· Attorneys representing Kolaks are Bevis Schock and Mark Milton.
