Huge End-of-Quarter Checks
On the last day of the fundraising quarter two statewide candidates recorded huge checks into their PACs.

· None of the above? Too early to tell
· [Eslinger] She has a crazy (Seitz) primary opponent
· [Beck] Toughest seat incumbent wise.

Who Won the Week?
Vivek Malek and Will Scharf – Recording huge checks on the final day of the quarter signal that they’ll be coming to next year’s primary with plenty of ammo.
Childcare advocates – Passage of the governor’s proposals for child care and early education in the House budget shows strong support for the initiatives heading into the Senate appropriations process.
Doug Richey – His DEI amendments gave a big boost to his name ID, as he considers making a bid for state senate next year.
Senate Dems – The DEI budget amendments could be a source of conflict within the Senate Republican Caucus if compromise language can’t be found.
