Governor and Peter Kinder for Governor before serving as a legislative assistant for one session in the Missouri House…

Lauren Gilbert lives on her family's Angus cattle seedstock operation in the Southern Missouri Ozarks… She has previous experience in the Missouri Senate, serving as the communications specialist for former Sen. Eric Burlison.

·       Seitz is the son of Rep. Brian Seitz.

 

Carter RIP

The mighty Jason Rosenbaum notes that Jimmy Carter, who passed away yesterday at age 100, was the last Democratic president to win a majority in Missouri.

 

 

Kehoe Picks MSHP Supe

Press release: Governor-Elect Mike Kehoe announced Major Michael A. Turner as the 25th Superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP). Major Turner will assume the role of Superintendent following the retirement of Colonel Eric T. Olson, effective February 1, 2025, and await Missouri Senate confirmation.

Major Turner currently serves as commander of the Field Operations Bureau. He has direct oversight responsibility for all nine troops, the Aircraft Division, and the Water Patrol Division.

 

Truth in Politics Fined

Truth in Politics was fined $249,446 for failing to register as a committee, report contributions, expenditures and reports.  See the consent order here. Truth in Politics, not to be confused with the pro-Rizzo Truth in Campaigns PAC, was involved in the Springfield School Board elections.   Springfield News Leader has the story here.

·       The attorney for Truth in Politics was Lucinda Luetkemeyer, wife of Sen. Tony Luetkemeyer.  Lucinda, now at Graves Garrett LLC, served as Eric Greitens’ general counsel.

 

Toalson-Reisch Fined

Rep. Cheri Toalson-Reisch was fined $100 for failing to put a “paid for” disclaimer on yard signs in her Boone County Commissioner race.  See the consent order here.
