MOScout Weekender: Willett Sends $$ To Grassroots America - Hallway on Early Priorities - Who Won the Week and more…
Willett Terminates State Committee
Nathan Willett terminated his state committee. Willett is running for CD-6 and the state campaign funds can’t be used in that federal race.
After reimbursing himself $4,600 for gas, the bulk of the remaining cash ($164,384) was sent to Grassroots America Inc.
· According to its website, it is “dedicated to educating and activating grassroots Americans around authentic conservative values and America First priorities.”

RESULTS
1. Hardwick’s VLT bill… 0%
2. O’Laughlin’s solar bill… 8.3%
3. Shields’ childcare bill… 4.2%
4. None of the above… 87.5%
Sample of Comments
· The only one of these that has a chance is the childcare bill, and that’s only if Dems are willing to make a deal with Conservatives on Ed Reform
· Steep climb for even a non controversial bill at this point.
· None of it.
· Senate checked out. Doesn’t want to bother with hard things.
· Feels like things are teetering. I think budget might be it.
· All those bills could not be more dead.
Who Won the Week?
Megan Green – The president of the St. Louis Board of Aldermen gave birth to Theodore Noel D’Souza. “He’s perfect in every way, including a full head of hair.”
Mike Deering – Big kickoff, backed by Governor Mike Kehoe and outgoing Sen. Travis Fitzwater. Plus his opponent’s April quarter restatement cut her “cash on-hand” total in half.
Sophia Shore – Adds a fifth state senate candidate, Ike Skelton, making her one of the busier Republican consultants this cycle.
MO Dems – With gas prices hovering near $4/gallon and the midterms inching ever closer, the environment is shaping up pretty nicely for Dems.
