Jobs and Opportunity Follow-Up

The DC-based “Jobs and Opportunity” made another $713K in-kind contribution to Chris Koster.  It appears that the first in-kind contribution was for a mail piece.  See it here.  And this second one is for television commercials.

And

Eli Yokely reports that Michael Goguen is now threatening to sue more folks over the “sex slave owner” moniker.  See it here.

Pull Quote: Michael Goguen – a Silicon Valley investor and partner at Sequoia Capital who has invested heavily in Eric Greitens’ campaign for governor of Missouri – has accused a group funded by the Democratic Governors Association of defaming him in a campaign commercial designed to try to tip the scales against Greitens ahead of Tuesday’s Republican primary.

The spot, running statewide, highlights recently revealed sexual abuse allegations against Goguen, which he has denied, and asks why Greitens would not return the $1 million he has contributed to his campaign.

Goguen’s lawyers called on at least one television station that is a part of the group’s statewide buy, mid-Missouri based KRCG, demanding it pull the ad…

Brunner, and those supporting his candidacy, have been among the most vocal about Goguen’s support of Greitens. He told the St. Louis Post Dispatch earlier this month, “I refuse to be lectured by a guy who took $1 million from the owner of a teenage sex slave.”

English as an Independent

I reported on this rumor a few weeks ago, but it appears true… Rep. Keith English, who once planning to exit politics and take a job with a “gentleman,” posted on Facebook that he has collected signatures to run for his seat (House 68) as an Independent.

Although he’ll be the incumbent, it will be an uphill battle for him.  It’s a heavy Democratic district and Dems are motivated to defeat him.  English provided the necessary vote to override Governor Jay Nixon’s veto of the tax cut in 2015.

From Richard Moore’s Facebook: I would like to introduce Brooks Marit Moore, a beautiful and heathy baby girl born today at 1:39 pm. She is 19 inches long and weighs 7.84 pounds. After several unexpected bumps in the road last night and this morning, both she and Susan are doing great!

"Brooks" is Susan Henderson Moore's middle name and she was named after her great grandparents last name. "Marit" is a girl’s name used in the Netherlands and Belgium, which is where we first heard the name and found inspiration while we were there this Spring.
