MOScout Weekender: Poll Parson 52, Greitens 22 - Hallway Sees No Gov Greitens - Cole Assembles Campaign Team - WWTW and more....
Cole Assembles Team
In Senate 29, David Cole is assembling his team. He’s in a primary with Rep. Mike Moon.
Miles Ross is Cole’s general consultant. Ross is a veteran of southwest Missouri politics. In fact, he’s been involved in the Senate 29 Republican races since Jack Goodman won over a dozen years ago.
The Axiom team will be a providing services to Team Cole, including direct mail.
It’s not clear that Moon will have enough money to run this type of campaign. But he does have the backing of the Conservative Caucus, so there will be some third money being spent by the CL PAC on his behalf.

· People have used the boogeyman story to fundraise and get hired. He was never going to run.
· No. But he should. This is the time for his story. He was Trump before Trump. The deep state ran him out on a rail with the support of deep-pocketed special interests. The people would support him. In a primary. And then Galloway would be our Gov. Run, Eric, Run!!!!
· I think he wants to, but doesn’t have the donor support.
· He loves messing with Parson, but he knows it destroys his life and his family all over again.
· doubt he would ever do this, but he could probably move into a few state senate districts and sweep a primary with his name ID...imagine if he just wanted revenge with a term in the state senate as a member of the conservative caucus
Who Won the Week?
Mike Kehoe – Dems finally have someone file paperwork to run for lieutenant governor, and it’s someone who lost a state senate primary in 2016 and a state house primary in 2018. Not particularly fearsome.
Senate Dems – Make their first stand on the Senate floor and successfully hold off the redistricting change.
Senate Republicans – Moving lots of priorities quickly through the committee process and into the pipeline for the floor. Nothing is guaranteed to pass but it puts pressure on Dems earlier this session – and likely often.
Medicaid advocates – Released a beefy report that provides a roadmap for MedEx to be budget-friendly.
Cities – Kansas City plays for the Superbowl tomorrow, STL lands a new Ag non-profit from the Gates Foundation. Exciting times for Missouri’s coasts.
