Freedom Foundation Gets Personal in Final Push
Take a look at this personal hit on Sen. Justin Brown. It was sent by the Missouri Freedom Foundation PAC. They’re the PAC attacking incumbent Republican senators deemed not conservative enough.
Late Independent Expenditures
· Interesting to see that the pro-Travis Fitzwater PAC, Kingdom Leadership, spent a fair amount in recent days attacking Bryan Spencer. By my thinking, Mike Carter would be the obvious target in that race. Spencer might even be helping Fitzwater by cutting into Carter’s numbers in Wentzville.
· Aegis PAC spent some money on House races. They’ve spent about $10K against Karen Vennard in House 108 (Justin Hill’s old district); $12K against Ken Waller in House 114 (Becky Ruth’s old seat); and $4K against Nancy Stevens in House 88 (Eureka).
MOScout’s Hallway Index: Sound Off
· [Redacted] is an asshat. Sorry. Just needed to vent.
· RightPath PAC had a laudable goal, but it failed. I can't point to a single race where it altered the outcome. [They] spent money like a typical lobbyist (currying favor with leadership and incumbents) and not like a political strategist fighting for the soul of the Senate.
· I feel like turnout will be low and nobody gives a crap about any of the candidates. They all leave little to be desired.
· Parson will get to appoint two more to statewide office. Who will it be?
· Greitens reaction to getting his ass kicked will be interesting. In less than a week Greitens will be what he feared the most — irrelevant.
· Eigel Caucus shrinks. Rowden caucus grows.
· I can NOT believe Bizzaro Schmitt is going to be a Senator.
