MOScout Daily Update: Taylor Eyes Minority Leader Race - Last Minute Push in House Contests - Pick’em Contest and more…
Taylor Eyes Minority Leader Race
Rep. Del Taylor is telling his fellow Democratic representatives that he’s running for Minority Leader against Rep. Ashley Aune.
The consensus, from my sampling of conversations, is that Aune is the favorite in this match-up.
· One Dem speculated that Taylor was seeking to replace Peter Merideth as Ranking Minority Member on Budget Committee. But, I’m told that Aune has telegraphed that she would be appointing Rep. Betsy Fogle to that position. And Taylor decision to challenge Aune could be a result of this rift.
