MOScout Daily Update: Willard to APIIC - Yes on A3 Ad - Emerson Poll Shows GOPers Leading, IPs Passing - New Pro-Cupps PAC and more…
Willard to APIIC
Aaron Willard, chief of staff to Governor Mike Parson, will be joining API Innovation Center (see their website here) as Chief Partnership Officer. See the press release here.
From the press release: At the API Innovation Center, Willard will leverage his strategic expertise and proven leadership to drive our partnership strategy as CPO. In this role, he will be responsible for identifying, developing, and nurturing key partnerships that align with our mission to enhance U.S.-based pharmaceutical manufacturing resiliency, strengthen national health security, and foster economic growth. His experience in driving strategic initiatives and his deep knowledge of state-level operations will be invaluable as he helps to broaden our reach and enhance our impact. Aaron can be contacted directly at his email address awillard@apicenter.org.
· One MOScouter: This is a great fit for both APIIC and Aaron. Aaron was a driving force behind Missouri's push into a new economic path leveraging advanced manufacturing processes necessary to re-shore key sectors including rare-earth minerals, semi-conductors and pharmaceuticals. The Parson Administration’s investments in these areas positioned Missouri as a regional and national leader. This represents a continuation of Aaron's understanding and passion in this area.
Yes on 3 Unveils Ad
Missourians for Constitutional Freedom, the campaign vehicle to pass Amendment 3 reversing the state’s total abortion ban, released its first commercial. It’s a short 15 second ad, interestingly without any people in it. I’d been thinking we’d see some direct appeal from impacted women on the issue. There’s very little emotion to this ad, and maybe that’s the smart play for a emotional issue. See the ad here.
When they could, Missouri politicians took away our freedom with an abortion ban. With no exceptions for rape, incest, or women’s health. Amendment 3 is on the ballot to end the ban. And keeps politicians out of personal decisions. Vote Yes on Amendment 3.

One Dem muses: My theory on why liberal ballot initiatives don’t translate to D candidates? It’s because moderate R voters get their cake and eat it too. They get low taxes etc but get protection from the crazy stuff...
Quade Dings Parson on Lack of Appts
Press release: House Minority Leader Crystal Quade sent [a] letter to Gov. Mike Parson concerning the State Board of Mediation, which hears labor disputes but has been unable to function due to the lack of a quorum caused by vacancies on the five-member board. In the nearly three weeks since the letter was sent, the governor has not responded, nor does it appear he has filled any of the vacancies.
