MOScout Daily Update: Ads from Onder, Dinkins and Bush - Hawley on Tyson Suit - PD on Parson’s Middle Finger - Schnelting PAC 3Q and more…

Onder Quickly Cuts Trump Endorsement Ad

Bob Onder, running in 3-CD, has moved speedily to take advantage of his endorsement from Donald Trump

And

Chatter among Jeff City politicos is wondering if there will be more Trump endorsements in Missouri.  Could Sen. Bill Eigel, a close ally of Onder, manage to pull down a Trump nod?  According to media reports, Trump likes to back winners so he’d likely want to see some polling to indicate he wasn’t backing a “loser.”  Trump can be skittish, for example, when he endorsed “Eric” for US Senate last cycle.

Dinkins Ad

Rep. Chris Dinkins is up with her second TV ad in Senate 27.  See it here.  The ad focuses on stopping China from buying Missouri land.  It remarkable how many Republican campaigns are using that issue are a centerpiece in their ads… and how few are talking about their success in outlawing abortions!

And

Team Dinkins is circulating a memo based on the MOScout/Remington poll from last month.  In it, they say the campaign has raised $75,000 since the poll was conducted.

Bush Ad

The pro-Cori Bush SuperPAC Justice Democrats has an ad in rotation on St. Louis network TV.   See it here.  It hits her opponent, Wesley Bell, a Democratic prosecutor, for having Republican ties.  “We don’t like sell-outs. Or Republicans. I’m sticking with the real Democrat, Cori Bush.”

Schnleting PAC Trails Christofanelli PAC

The pro-Adam Schnelting PAC, Protect Our Kids, filed its July quarterly report.  It’s clear that Rep. Phil Christofanelli will have the edge in resources in that Senate 23 Republican primary.

Protect Our Kids raised $24,600 in the last quarter and has $69,205 on-hand.  Meanwhile Christofanelli’s PAC, Gladius, which hasn’t filed its report yet, showed nearly $200,000 in large contributions throughout the quarter.

·       Rex Sinquefield was responsible for $100,000 of that haul for Gladius PAC.

Over in Arkansas…

This newsflash from Arkansas might make pro-choice advocates in Missouri nervous as we await signature certification from the Secretary of State’s office.

We’re less than a month away from the deadline for certification.

From SOS website: If the office finds that a sufficient number of valid signatures have been submitted on a petition, the secretary of state issues a certificate stating that the petition contains a sufficient number of valid signatures to comply with the Constitution of Missouri and state law and shall be placed on the ballot. However, if the office finds the petition insufficient, the secretary of state issues a certificate stating the reasons for the insufficiency. The certificate must be issued before 5:00 PM on the 13th Tuesday prior to the general election…

Hawley Hopes Farmers “Sue Living Daylights out of Tyson”

Senator Josh Hawley tells KFVS that he supports the class action lawsuit against Tyson food which was filed on behalf of 45 farmers after Tyson closed its plant in Dexter and sold it to a non-chicken producer.

“Well, I hope that the farmers of the state will absolutely sue the living daylights out of Tyson. I really do. I mean, I hope they’ll sue their socks off, #1.  #2, I hope the state of Missouri will sue. And I know the attorney general has an antitrust investigation and maybe other investigations of Tyson’s underway because he said so publicly, and I hope that he will absolutely bear down. I mean, you cannot do what these guys have done and have there be no consequences.”

·       Tyson’s Jeff City lobbyists:  no one.
