CD-5: Trump Endorses Brattin
“It is my Great Honor to endorse MAGA Warrior, Rick Brattin, who is running to represent the wonderful people of Missouri’s 5th Congressional District! Rick is strongly supported by many of the greatest America First Patriots in Missouri, including Governor Mike Kehoe, and Congressmen Jason Smith, Bob Onder, and Eric Burlison, among others!,”said President Trump.

eMailbag: A5 Pre-Postmortem
People may act like the failure of A5 was about a poorly run campaign, but I think the original sin was how it was drafted. What keeps coming back up is there was no plan to make up lost revenue. They could have significantly simplified the whole proposal or actually put together a plan. It is kind of mind-boggling to me that between the Governor and Rex they did not have some sort of white paper showing where and how the revenue gets made up.
July Revenues Solid
The fiscal year started off solidly as state tax receipts rose 5%. July isn’t a huge month for revenues, so that translated to an increase of $42 million over July 2025. Still, it’s comforting that we’re starting with a healthy number.
Avery PAC Move
Sen.-elect Jim Avery’s Make JeffCo Great Again terminated and sent $40,000 to Make Jefferson County Great Again. Avery’s PACs have contributed to Lori Rook, Dusty Blue, and Sophia Shore’s PACs: Firebrand PAC and Take Back Missouri PAC.
· Depending on how today’s elections go, there’s some speculation that you could see Avery take the temperature of his future fellow Caucus members about a possible leadership bid…
Where the Growth Is
There’s been a lot of anti-data center rhetoric this campaign season. But if you want economic development, you can’t just ignore the industry…
Grade Inflation in Carterville?

· Carterville is represented by Sen. Jill Carter and Rep. Bob Bromley.
North to KC Civic Council
Aaron Northannounced that he’s joined the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Economic Growth. “Over the past year and a half, I have had the opportunity to work closely with Floyd May, the Civic Council team and members, and partners across the region. That experience has only strengthened my belief in both the tremendous upside ahead for Kansas City and the Civic Council’s ability to help the region act on it.”
