I’ll be watching Senate bills as they travel through the House process. I’m assuming that they’ll mostly get loaded up with House amendments. But anything that remains clean will head to the governor’s desk. Right now, we have only two (2) Truly Agreed and Finally Passed Bills – and one of those was the supplemental budget.

An eyewitness source says that the Senate’s Conservative Caucus trooped across the building and was seen entering Speaker Rob Vescovo’s office on Thursday.

Challenged GOP Reps

13 Republican incumbent House members face primary challenges this election year. There are 12 Democratic House incumbents in a similar situation. Of course, there are about twice as many Republicans as Democrats. That means approximately 1 in 8 Republican incumbents face a primary challenge, compared to approximately 1 in 4 Democrats.

Cody Cash Fast Tracked

House Budget Chair Cody Smith’s HB 3021, which would give Missourians a $500 tax credit, was voted out of the Budget Committee yesterday. And Smith told the Committee he hoped to fast-track the legislation to have it perfected and passed this week.

Bill PAC Gives to Pollock

Believe in Life and Liberty (BILL) PAC sent $2,000 to Rep. Suzie Pollock’s campaign committee, according to the April filings.

RightPath Raised $2.4M

RightPath PAC filed its April report showing $2,450,600 raised. The contributors of the PAC appear to all have relationship with Washington University. Press reports have described the PAC being founded due to concern with the direction that the Missouri Senate was taking.
